Bio
Alan N. Walter is the founder and principal of Alan N. Walter, Counsel in Montclair. He has extensive experience representing innovators, start-ups and growing businesses.
With an educational background from Harvard College and New York University School of Law, he provides comprehensive outside general counsel services across entity formation, funding, contracts, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and mergers and acquisitions.
He chairs the Venture Capital, Emerging Growth Technology Companies and Angel Investors Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association Business Law Section.
He was elected for the second time in 2026 as a Leader in Law honoree, by NJBIZ, New Jersey’s leading business journal. It’s a recognition given to attorneys whose dedication to their profession and communities is outstanding.
